About N.E.S.T

Providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where every child feels valued, understood and part of the Yarborough family.

Our Approach

Using a child-centred approach, we recognise that every child is unique. Through positive relationships, consistent routines and personalised support, we help children develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and communication skills. We teach children that all feelings are valid and support them to understand and manage big emotions in safe and healthy ways.

Friendship, Independence & Belonging

Alongside learning, we focus on building strong friendships, independence and a sense of belonging so that children can thrive socially, emotionally and academically. Where appropriate, we support pupils to access aspects of mainstream learning alongside their peers, with the long-term aim of successful reintegration into mainstream education.

With the right support, every child can become a confident, empathetic and successful learner who is ready to flourish in school and beyond.

NOTE: Whilst we will do our best to answer and accommodate phone calls from professionals in local education settings, our admissions are governed by the Local Authority and we will not undertake separate discussions with schools that falls outside of our commissioned arrangements. This may be disappointing for some schools, but it ensures that the children who need RSP places get fair access to them through the correct process. At present we are not commissioned to provide an outreach provision, or observe or visit children outside of the consultation process. We thank-you for your co-operation with this as NEL continues to grow High needs places.
