Teaching Support

Keri Kay

My name is Keri Kay. My role in school is SEND Inclusion Assistant.

I am so proud to be part of Team YA. The YA Way and the way that we work is important to me because I truly believe that children deserve to feel safe, seen, loved, and valued—both in everyday life and within education. I am deeply passionate about supporting children who face barriers to learning and advocating for environments where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

I love working at Yarborough Academy because I am proud to work as part of an inspiring and cohesive team that is committed to equipping children with the qualities that matter most in life: kindness, love, respect, and empathy. Through nurturing these values, we support young people in developing confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self, empowering them to grow into capable, compassionate individuals. We are a fantastic team that fosters a genuine sense of support and community. Everyone is united by a shared commitment to making a real difference to our young people and their experience of education. Being part of a setting where children are truly valued and supported makes the work incredibly meaningful.

Three words my family and friends use to describe me are compassionate, funny and fair.
