I am so proud to be part of Team YA. The YA Way and the way that we work is important to me because I truly believe that children thrive when they are listened to, cared for and made to feel confident with high self-esteem. School  is not just about learning, it’s about happiness, building relationships and communication with friends and adults who make them feel valued, lower stress and support not only their learning needs but emotional needs too with love, empathy, support and trust.

I love working at Yarborough Academy because My job in the school kitchen is so much more than just supplying and cooking food . Everyday I get to serve the children, be a small but steady part of their day. I love seeing their smiling faces and chatting with them whilst I serve them. I feel lucky to work in a job that I love, where I’m supported by everyone around me.

Three words my family and friends use to describe me are happy, supportive and caring.
