Alex Pickerden

I am so proud to be part of Team YA. The YA Way and the way that we work is important to me because I truly believe that children deserve to feel safe, loved and valued as they learn. It is by building this sense of, "I matter" that we can start to connect and feel as if "we belong". I am passionate about building a culture in which we all have high expectations, rooted in a shared understanding of therapeutic teaching and a love of learning.

I love working at Yarborough Academy because we are working together to build something we believe in. I am privileged to serve the pupils of this school as they help me grow and learn every single day.

Three words my family and friends use to describe me are smart, tough and dependable.
