Alex Hammond
My name is Alex Hammond. My role in school is Teacher.
I am so proud to be part of Team YA. The YA Way and the way that we work is important to me because I truly believe that children can achieve their goals in the environment that we have created. I ensure that children are inspired to try their best so they can reach their potential. I believe that helping the children to work in a classroom where they feel safe and happy is extremely important in their development. Children in my class are encouraged to persevere and if mistakes are made we learn form these and keep trying.
I love working at Yarborough Academy because all of the staff work incredibly well together to provide the best learning environment for the children. I really enjoy working as part of the YA team as we are a close working family that strive to do the best for the children in our school community.
Three words my family and friends use to describe me are honest, calm and empathetic.
